Elated doesn't even begin to describe the way I feel. But it's mixed with the forlorn feeling of saying goodbye to characters I really enjoyed following down their journey. You know how you feel after you finish a really good book and you don't want it to end. That's the way it is for writers finishing a story, only magnified several times.
It's a bittersweet place to be.
At least the story can still live on in my head during the revision process!
